Vintage Vogue Eyelet
Stripe Sweater #300
Lacy
pattern & simple lines combine to make this the perfect sweater for warm
days or evenings in the country.
Instructions
are for a 30” bust.
Changes
for 32“, 34“, 36“, & 38” sizes are given in brackets.
If
additional sizes are needed, adjust accordingly.

Length: 16 ½” [17 ½”, 18”, 19”, 19”]

Edgings are in k 1, p 1 rib [2] Main part is in eyelet stripes.

Work

1 each end of next & every 6th row until there are 128 [136,

until back meas12 ½” [13”, 13 ½”, 14”, 14”] or desired length to armholes.
Shape Armholes:
Cast
off 5 [6,7,8,9] at beg of next 2 rows.
Dec
1 each end of next 3 rows, then every alternate row until 104 [108, 112, 116,
120] sts rem.
Work
until armholes are 4” [4 ½”, 4 ½”, 5”, 5”] meas on the straight, end with 6th
pattern row.
Change
to #14 needles & st 1.
Work

Cast
off in rib.
Front:
Follow
instructions for back.
Sleeves:
With
#14 needles cast on 80 [84, 88, 92,96].
Work
4 rows in st 1.
Change
to #12 needles & st 2.

Shape Top:
Dec
1 each end of next & every alternate row until 54 [56,58,60,62] sts rem,
then every 3rd row until 44 rem.
Work
until stripes on sleeve top number same as stripes on armhole.
Change
to #14 needles.
Work
4 rows in st 1.
Cast
off in rib.
To Make Up:
Sew
shaped edges of sleeve tops to armholes of back & front matching
stripes.
Sew
side & sleeve seams.
Cut
elastic to desired length & sew to wrong side of neck just below cast-off
edge.
Press
st 2 parts.
