Quick & easy to
crochet this lovely doll…Romany charm with a matching hat, panties, &
necklace with earrings…a beautiful favorite to keep or gift to that special
person!
MATERIALS:
J
& P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 1 ball each white, yellow, green, &, blue,
& 2 balls of red, a few yds of black.

Start
at waist with red, ch 27 loosely to reach around doll’s waist.
1ST
ROW: Dc in 4th ch from hk, 2
dc in each ch across. Ch 3, turn.
2ND
ROW: Sk first dc, dc in next dc, * 2 dc
in next dc, dc in next 2 dc. Rep from *
across. Ch 3, turn.
3RD
ROW: Sk first dc, dc in next 2 dc, * 2
dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc. Rep from
* across. Sl st in top of turning ch at
beg of row.
NOW
WORK IN RNDS AS FOLLOWS:
1ST
RND: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 6,
sk next 4 dc, sc in next dc. Rep from *
around. Join.
2ND
RND: * 2 sc in next lp, ch 5. Rep from * around, end with ch 5. Do not join.
3RD
RND: Sk first sc, * sc in next sc, 2 sc
in next lp, ch 5, sk next sc. Rep from *
around, end with ch 5.
4TH
RND: Sk first sc of next group, * sc in
each rem sc of group, 2 sc in next lp, ch 5, sk next sc. Rep from * around, end with ch 5.
Rep
4th rnd until 20 rnds have been completed. Break off.
Attach
yellow to last sc of any group & sc in each st around.
Make
2 more rnds of yellow, 3 rnds of red, 3 blue, 3 red, 3 green, & 3 red. Join & break off.
Attach
red to opposite side of starting ch 7 sc closely across, hold edge in tightly
to fit waist. Break off.
BLOUSE:
Start
at neck with white, ch 38. Join.
1ST
RND: Ch 4, * dc in next dc, ch 1. Rep from * around. Join to 3rd ch of ch-4.
2ND
RND: Ch 3, * 2 dc in next sp, dc in next
dc. Rep from * around. Join.
3RD
RND: Ch 3, dc in each dc around. Join.
4TH
RND: Ch 3, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next
dc] 17 times [sleeve]; dc in next 22 dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc] 17
times [other sleeve]; de in each rem dc.
Join.
5TH
RND: Ch 3, sc in each st of sleeve, sl
st in first sc made, dc in next 22 dc, sc in each st across other sleeve, sl st
in first sc of this sleeve, dc in each rem dc.
Join.
6TH
& 7TH RNDS: Rep 3rd
rnd. Break off at end of 7th
rnd.
With
black make ch 7” long.
Lace
ch thru sps & tie in bow.
BELT:
With
black make ch 5” long.
1ST
ROW: Sc in 2nd ch from hk
& in each ch across until piece meas 4 ½”.
Cut off rem ch. Ch 3, turn.
2ND
ROW: Sk first sc, dc in each sc
across. Ch 1, turn.
3RD
ROW: Sc in each dc across. Break off.
Sew
snap fastener to belt.
Sew
hook & eye to skirt opening.
HAT:
Start
at one side, ch 4.
1ST
ROW: 4 Dc in 4th ch from
hk. Ch 3, turn.
2ND,
3RD & 4TH ROWS:
Dc in first dc, dc in each dc across, 2 dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
5TH
ROW: Sk first dc, dc in each st
across. Ch 3, turn.
Rep
5th row until piece meas 3 ½” in all. Work off all sts as 1 dc. Break off.
Make
small yellow pompon & sew to side of Hat.
Tie
thread 1” above pompon.
EARRING: [MAKE 2]:
String
15 beads, tie thread to form ring.
Sew
in place on hair.
NECKLACE:
Make
2 strings of beads for around neck.
PANTIES:
With
white & #6 hk, ch 38 loosely to fit around waistline, dc in 4th
st from hk, 1 dc in each rem st of ch, ch 3, turn.
2ND
ROW: 1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in
next dc, * 1 dc in each of next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * across row,
end with 1 dc in last st, join in 3rd st of 1st ch 3.
3RD
& 4TH ROWS: Ch 3 [counts
as 1 dc], 1 dc in each dc, join in 3rd st of ch.
5TH
ROW: Ch 3, 1 dc in each of next 10 dc,
sk 21 dc, 1 dc in each of next 10 dc, join.
6TH
ROW: * Ch 3, sc in next st, rep from *
all around, cut thread.
Attach
thread at crotch & finish other leg in same manner.
Work
row of sc around top of panties, working loosely, then work row of sc around
side opening, cut thread.
Tie
with ribbon on side.
If
desired, make an underskirt of crinoline [net] & taffeta.
