WITH Blue ch 60, sc in 2nd st from hk, dc in same sp, * sk next st
of ch, 1 sc, 1 dc in next st (SHELL), rep from * across ch to within last 2
sts, sk next st, sc in next st, ch 1, turn (RIGHT SIDE OF WORK).
2ND ROW: 1 sc in each st, drop Blue attach White (when changing
color always compl last half of last st worked with next color), ch 1, to turn
all rows.
3RD ROW: 1 sc, 1 dc in 1st sc, * sk next sc, 1 sc, 1 dc in next
sc, rep from * across row to within last 2 sts, sk next sc, sc in next sc.
4TH ROW: Sc in each st, drop White, pick up Blue.
NOTE:
THESE 4 rows form stripes & colors will always be changed in same manner,
this will not be referred to again.
REP last 2 rows 8 times alt color of stripes.
21ST ROW: With Blue sl st across 1st 4 sc, * 1 sc, 1 dc in next

YOKE in same manner, cut White, with Blue work 29 sc across lower edge of YOKE to
corner, 3 sc in corner, work along SHOULDER edge work 45 sc to next corner, 3
sc in corner, work 47 sc across lower edge of BACK YOKE, 3 sc in corner, work
other SHOULDER edge & FRONT YOKE same as opposite side, cut yarn, do not
turn.
BEADING: (FOR OUTER EDGE OF YOKE):
ATTACH Blue in corner st of lower edge of LEFT FRONT YOKE work across YOKE ch

FOR NECK EDGE:

WITH White work edge in same manner as above.
FINISHING:
TURN under a small hem along all edges of lining & baste to
wrong side of

WITH Blue ch 40 & work 1st 4 rows same as BACK YOKE alt color
of stripes & end last row with ch 3, turn.
5TH ROW: 1 sc in 2nd st from hook, * sk next st, 1 sc, 1 dc in
next st, rep from * across row end with sk next st, sc in last st.
6TH ROW: 1 sc in each st, ch 3, turn.
REP last 2 rows 8 times end last row with ch 1, turn.
REP 3rd & 4th rows of BACK YOKE 5 times.
33RD ROW: Rep 3rd row.
34TH ROW: 1 sc in each st to within last 2 sts, sl st in next st,

WITH right side of work toward you attach Blue at cuff edge of

BLOCK each section.
SEW side seams match color of stripes.
WITH Blue work row of sc along each front edge of SKIRT, work sc
along lower edge match colors.
FINISHING:
GATHER upper straight edge of LEFT FRONT of SKIRT to fit LEFT
FRONT YOKE.
ADJUST gathers evenly over cast SKIRT to YOKE along starting ch of
YOKE leave beading & edge free on
right side.
SEW RIGHT FRONT of SKIRT to RIGHT YOKE & BACK of SKIRT to BACK
YOKE in same manner.
SEW SLEEVES & BUTTONS in position.
LACE narrow ribbon thru beading at SLEEVE & NECK edges, tie
with a bow.
LACE ½” ribbon thru beading around outer edge of YOKE.
