BAG:
Ch
4, join with sl st, ch 1.
1ST
ROW: Work 8 sc in ring, join ch 1.
2ND
ROW: * Work 1 sc in 1st st
[using outer loop of st throughout] 3 sc in next st; rep bet * 3 more times,
join, ch 1.
Work
square in sc, work 3 sc in each corner for 6 ½”, work 1 row of popcorn in
contrasting color, as follows:
Work
popcorn in 1st st [popcorn:
work 5 dc in one st, drop last loop from hook, pick up 1st st
& draw last loop thru 1st st] 1 dc in next st, rep around
row.
Work
1 row sc in basic color around outer edge.
Work
4 squares [2 in white & 2 in black], sew squares tog as shown in photo.
FINISHING:
Make
paper patt for each crocheted piece.
Cut
lining according to paper patts & sew tog.
Shirr
lining bag form to correspond with crocheted bag.
Insert
finished lining in bag. Sew in zipper.
Note: Cardboard
or lightweight plastic may be inserted between bag & lining to give shape
of bag extra support.
Attach
handle.
