Start at waistline, ch 61 to meas about 11”.

1ST ROW: Sc & dc in 2nd ch from hk, * sk 1 ch, sc &
dc in next ch. Rep from * across. Ch 1, turn.
2ND ROW: * Make sc & dc (patt st) in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
NEXT ROWS: Rep 2nd row, inc patt st at both ends of row every 2”
3 times – [to inc: make patt st in both sts of 1st &
last patt sts}.
NEXT ROWS: Work straight until piece meas 6¼”.
NEXT ROWS: Dec 3 patt sts at both ends of each row 5 times – [to dec: 3 patt sts at beg of row, sl st
