BAG:
CIRCLES:
Ch 5, join with sl st to form ring.
CIRCLES:

ROW: Work 6 sc in ring.
2ND
ROW: Work 2 sc in each st.
3RD
ROW: * Work 1 sc in 1st st, 2
sc in next st; rep from * 5 times.
Cont
inc 6 sts on every row, as described above, until circle meas 6” in diameter.
Work
1 row of sc around circle, taking front
lp to form ridge on inside of
bag.
Work
6 rows of sc, st for st, around circles, ending with sl st.
Ch
3. Work 3 rows of popcorn st as follows:
1ST ROW: * Work 1 dc in each of first 3 sts, 5 dc in next st, remove hk, insert it into first of 5 dc just made, draw lp thru [popcorn st made]; rep from * to end of row. Join with sl st .

Finish
with 1 row of popcorn sts around top of bag, working 1 sc bet each popcorn st.

JULIA’S PURSE LINING NOTES:

joining finished pattern pieces]
Make
paper patt from crocheted pieces & lay aside to be used later.
Cut
lining according to paper patt & sew tog.
Shirr
lining bag form to correspond with crocheted bag.
Insert
finished lining in bag.
Sew
in zipper [if desired].
Attach
ornament to zipper pull tab [if desired].
Note: Cardboard
or lightweight plastic may be inserted between 2 layers of lining & bag to
give shape extra support.
