½” Plastic Ring

yd each Buckram & Felt Lining Material
½ yd Grosgrain Ribbon, 1 ¼” wide
GAUGE:
3
½ sts = 1”:
4
½ rnds = 1”
Use
3 threads throughout.

PIECE:
Starting
at center, ch 4. Join with sl st.
1ST
RND: I sc in ring.
2ND
RND: [Sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc] 4
times.
3RD
TO 30TH RNDS: [Sc in each sc
to center sc of next 3-sc group, 3 sc in center sc] 4 times; sc in each sc to
end of rnd.
At
end of 30th rnd, sl st in next st. Break off.
Using
Bag Piece as patt, cut lining from felt.
Sew
lining in place.
Fold
points to center of Bag Piece.
Starting
at any fold, make sc thru both thicknesses of each side from fold to
point.
Join
opposite side in the same way.
Join
two rem sides with sc from fold to a point 2 ½” beyond fold.
HANDLE:
Starting
at inner edge, make a chain 13” long.
Join, being careful not to twist sts.
1ST
RND: Sc in each ch around.
2ND
TO 6TH RNDS: Sc in each sc
around.
At
end of 6th rnd, sl st in next sc.
Break off.
Line
Handle with Ribbon, fold in half & sew fold to one joined side.
Sew
ring to opposite side.
Draw
Handle thru ring.
