1ST
ROW: P 12, * k 6 - p 6, rep from across
row ending with p13 instead of p 6.
2ND
ROW: K 7, * k 2 tog, do not drop sts
from left needle. K again in first of
these k 2 sts, drop both from left needle.
Rep from * 2 times more. P
6. Rep from first * across row, ending k
7.
3RD
ROW: Same as 1st row.
4TH
ROW: K 7 * k 1, ** k 2 tog, do not drop
sts from left needle. K again in first
of these k 2 sts, drop both from left needle.
Rep from ** once, k 1, p 6, rep from first * across row, ending k 7.
These 4 rows constitute patt.
BACK:
Cast
on 68 sts.
Work
in patt for 3”.
NEXT
ROW: RIGHT SIDE: Dec 1 st in each p panel by purling 3rd
& 4th p sts tog.
Work
3” even.
Dec
1 st in each p panel across row; work
until piece meas 12 ½”.
ARMHOLE:
Bind
off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then dec 1 st each side every other row 4
times.
Meanwhile,
dec 1 st in each p panel once more [p2].
Work
even for 6 ½” from last dec at armhole.
SHOULDER:
Bind
off 4 sts at beg of next 6 rows.

off rem 10 sts for neck.

left needle. K again in first of these k
2 sts; drop both sts from left needle.
Rep from * 2 times more, p 6. Rep
from first * across ending k 1, p 1, sl next 4 sts off on crochet hk [sl off
with hk end] & hold in back of work.
K next 4 sts from left needle, k 4 sts from straight end of hk, [cable
twist at front border] p 1.
3RD
ROW: Same as 1st row.
4TH
ROW: P 7, * k 1, ** k 2 tog, do not drop
sts from left needle. K again in first
of these k 2 sts, drop both sts from left needle. Rep from ** once, k 1, p 6: rep from first * across row, ending k 1, p 1,
k 8, p 1.

decs in each p 6 panel, same as back to underarm [36 sts].
ARMHOLE:
Bind
off 5 sts at armhole edge then dec 1 st at same edge every other row 4
times.

1 st in each p panel once [p2] at same time dec 1 st at neck edge after cable
border every other row until 22 sts rem.

even, when armhole meas same length as back armhole, bind off 4 sts at armhole
edge 3 times.

Cast
on 6 sts.

ROW: P back.
2ND
ROW: Cast on 6 sts, p 6. Work patt on next 6 sts.
3RD
ROW: Cast on 6 sts. K 6, p 6, k 6.
Cont to cast on 6 sts at beg of every row
until 42 sts on needle.
Maintain
continuity of patt.
RIGHT
SIDE:
K
6, patt st 6, p 6, patt st 6, p 6, patt st 6, k 6.
Work
even until sleeve meas 16” at center.
Bind
off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then dec 1 st each side every other row 3
times.
Meanwhile
dec 1 st each p panel across row.
Work
even in patt until armhole meas 6 ½” from first bind off at underarm.
On
right side, work 13 sts in patt. Turn *
k first st from left hand needle & first st from right hand needle
tog. Work 5 sts of center patt. K next 2 sts tog. Turn.
Rep from * across row.
Rep
decs at each end of every row until 6 center sts rem. Bind off.
This forms square shoulder.
FINISHING:
Sew
all seams.
Sew
sleeves in place.
Sew
cable ends tog & sew over bound off sts at back of neck.
With
J crochet hook, work 1 rows sc around entire garment & around sleeves.
