COAT:
Start
at neck with Royal Blue & circular needle cast on 76 sts [work back &
forth].

1ST
ROW: K 1, p 1 [moss st] for 11 sts
[border], k 10 [front], inc 1 st in each of next 4 sts [shoulder], k 26 [back],
inc 1 st in each of next 4 sts [shoulder], k 10 [front], k 1, p 1, for last 11
sts [border]. [84 sts]
2ND
ROW: Work 11 sts in moss st, p to last
11 sts, work these in moss st [always p the 4 inc sts loosely to prevent
drawing up of sleeve].
3RD
ROW: Work first 11 sts moss st, k 12
sts, inc 1 st in each of next 4 sts, k 30 sts, inc 1 st in each of next 4 sts,
k 12 sts, work last 11 sts in moss st.
[92 sts]
4TH
ROW: All even rows as 2nd
row.
5TH
ROW: Work first 11 sts moss st, k 14,
inc 1 st in each of next 4 sts, k 34, inc 1 st in each of next 4 sts, k 14,
work last 11 sts in moss st.
Cont same to work first & last 11 sts in moss st, inc
4 sts on each shoulder every other row 50 times [476 sts on needle].
On next k row, work across 55 sts, then with straight
needles, on next 136 sts, work left sleeve.
Cont to inc every other row on 4 center sts as before &
k 2 tog at beg & end of next 10 rows.
Shoulder
seam should now meas 25” from neck.
Work
68 st [half sleeve] in moss st, sl rem 68 sts on holder.
K
2 tog at beg & end of every row until all sts are worked off.
Pick up 68 sts from holder & work in same manner.
CUFF:
Pick
up 73 sts across bottom of sleeve.
Work
in moss st for 1 ½” or desired length, bind off.
With circular needle k across 94 sts of back.
On next 136 sts with straight needles work right sleeve
to match.
Join yarn, k across rem sts for right front [204 sts on
needle].
Cont to work 11 sts each end in moss st for border, work
body of coat, inc 1 st each side at underarm every inch 14 times.
Work
even for 3”, then work in moss st for 5”, bind off.
COLLAR:
Start
at center of front border, pick up 65 sts around neck ending at center front border,
work in moss st for 1 ½”, bind off.
Sew
underarm seams, turn back cuffs.
SKIRT:
With
Blue & circular needle cast on 261 sts, join [be careful not to twist
sts].
Work
in moss st [k 1, p 1] for 2”, then k plain for 8”.
On next row k every 25th & 26th
tog, k 2” even.
Dec
10 sts same manner every 2” by having 1 st less bet decs 5 more times, k 3”
even.
On next row k every 12th & 13th
tog, k 3” even.
On next row k every 21st & 22nd tog,
k 4” even or desired length, bind off.
Work
casing at top of skirt for elastic.
