BAG:
Ch 120.
Ch 120.
1ST
ROW: * Work 1 sc in next 6 sts, 3 sc in
next st, 1 sc in next 6 sts, sk 2, rep bet * 6 more times, end row working 1 sc
in each of last 6 ch sts, ch 1, turn [always work back loop of sts throughout
entire bag].
2ND
ROW: Work 1 sc in first 7 sts * 3 sc in
next st, 1 sc in next 6 sts, sk 2, 1 sc in next 6 sts, rep bet * across row,
end with 1 sc in each of last 7 sc, ch 1, turn.
This
bag automatically incs 1 st both ends, cont to work in this manner to 8 ½”.
Work
other side to correspond.
Make
paper patt for each crocheted piece & lay aside to be used later.
GUSSET:
Ch
12. Work 1 sc in each ch st [11 sc], ch
1 turn.
Work
Gusset for about 33”, also work in back of st only throughout Gusset.
FINISHING:
Sew
pleats as shown in photo, then join gusset to bag with sc, joining only points
of pleats to Gusset.
Cut
lining according to paper patts & sew tog.
Shirr
lining bag form to correspond with crocheted bag.
Insert
finished lining in bag.
Sew
in zipper.
Note: Cardboard
or lightweight plastic may be inserted between bag & lining to give shape
of bag extra support.
