swanky hat is very much in vogue now. It
goes well with luxurious furs or simple tailored clothes, & it is easy to
do.

HAT:
TOP OF HAT:
Ch 3, join with sl st, 6 sc in ring, 2 sc in each st until there are 24 sts around, * 1 sc in each of 6 sts, 2 sc in next st [an inc]; rep from * until there are 75 sts in rnd, then inc in every 15th st until there are 143 sts around.
