can don this charming beret in the morning & wear it right thru the
day. It’s smart…becoming…& very easy
to make.

BERET:
Ch 3, join with sl st, work 6 sc in ring, then 2 sc in each st until there are 24 sts in rnd.
Ch 3, join with sl st, work 6 sc in ring, then 2 sc in each st until there are 24 sts in rnd.
Work
* 1 sc in each of 4 sts, 2 sc in next st [an inc]; rep from * until there are
65 sts around.
Then
inc in every 15th st until 115 sts are in rind.
Work
5 rnds even [1 sc in each st], or until piece meas 5” from centre to edge.
1ST
SHORT ROW: Turn, 1 sc in each st to
within 25 sts of end of rnd [90 sts].
2ND
SHORT ROW: Turn, 1 sc in each st to
within 10 sts of end of last short row [80 sts].
Rep
last row 5 times.
NEXT
RND: Turn, 1 sc in each of 30 sts in
last short row, 1 sc in each of 10 sts left in each short row, 1 sc in each of
25 sts left in last full rnd, 1 sc in each of 10 sts left in each of short rows
at other end.
Dec
by sk every 11th st, until there are only 80 sts left in rnd.
Work
3 rnds even & fasten off.
Try
on & drape to suit, as shown in photo.
