Vintage 1916 Lace Sweater Jacket #546

Quick & easy to crochet this charming sweater jacket…smart & stylish lines…a season-spanning wardrobe favorite!

MATERIALS: 
Woolco Shetland Floss, 4 skeins White & 3 skeins Contrast Color
#4 Crochet Hook
2 yds Ribbons

SWEATER:
With White, ch 171.

1ST ROW:  Sk 2 sts.  * Dc in each ch*, 6 dc in center st.

2ND ROW:  * Draw loop thru both loops, yo, draw loop thru next st, yo, take off 4 loops, ch 1 *, make patt st in center st.

3RD ROW:  * 2 Dc in eye of each group *. 

Rep 2nd & 3rd rows, always inc in center st in each row.

Work even for 27 rows.

Then leave off 9 groups from center of back on each side for 2 rows.

Join tog 10 groups, leave rem for armhole.

With Contrast Color, make 4 rows of crazy st around jacket & sleeves.

Finish with picot of * 4 sc, 1 in each st, 3 ch, & 4 sc * around border.
