Vintage Infant’s Lace Daffodil Dress #1348

Daffodil dress has plain yoke, patterned skirt & sleeves.
 MATERIALS: 
(5) balls Patons Baby Wool with Bri-Nylon 3 Ply
1 pair each #10 & #11 Beehive Knitting needles
4 st  holders
4 buttons 
MEASUREMENTS:
underarm  = 20” (22”)
length =  11½” (12½”)
sleeve seam = 1” 
TENSION:
16 Sts = 2” over st st 
BACK:
** Use #10 needles, cast on 115 (131) sts
K 3 rows.
Work patt as follows:
1ST ROW (RS): K 2, * y fwd, k 2, k 2 tog tbl, k 7, k 2 tog, k 2, y fwd, k 1, rep from * to last st., k 1.

2ND & ALT ROWS: P. 
3RD ROW: K 3, * y fwd, k 2, k 2 tog tbl, k 5, k 2 tog, k 2, y fwd, k 3, rep from * to end. 
5TH ROW: K 4, * y fwd, k 2, k 2 tog, tbl, k 3, k 2 tog, k 2, y fwd, k 5, rep from * end last rep k 4.

SLEEVE EDGINGS:
With RS facing & #11 needles, k up 50 sts along cast on edge of sleeve. 
NEXT ROW: K 2 tog, * k 10, k 2 tog, rep from * to end: 45 sts.
K 3 rows. Cast off.

YOKE:
Use back st, join raglan seams.

With  RS facing, use set of #10 needles, sl 101 (117) sts of front onto needle, sl right sleeve sts & 1st 53 (61) sts of back onto another needle, then rem 48 (56) sts of back
& left sleeve sts onto another needle: 276 (308) sts.
With RS facing, join yarn at centre back & work backward & forward on set of needles as follows:

FINISHING:
With slightly damp cloth & warm iron, press lightly.
Use back st, join side & sleeve seams.
Sl st cast on sts at lower edge of centre back opening to WS.
Sew on buttons.
Press seams.
