& Pineapple Cape #373
This
is an elegant variation on the cape theme in a delightful openwork combination
of shell stitch & pineapple design; with a shell stitch collar. Attractive & suitable for many occasions,
it can be made up very quickly.

FINISHING:
Fold
Collar in half lengthwise.
Having
joining of two halves at center of neck edge of cape, arrange Collar around
neckline & down front edges along shell st rows [up to beg of edging]
easing in edge of cape to fit.
Front
right side, overcast double edge of Collar to edge of cape.
CORD:
Using
3 strands of yarn held tog, make ch same length as collar, sl st in 2nd
st from hk, sl st in each of rem sts of ch; fasten off.
Sew
this cord over joining on right side, under Collar. This will hold Collar up.
Fold
back collar around neckline.
