Cape Stole # 331
A clever needle worker
will quickly work up this stole into a classic, season-spanning wardrobe
favorite to keep or present as a welcome gift!

on 3 sts for beg of 1st tie.
Work
Stockinette st [st st] - p 1 row, k 1 row - inc 1 st each side of every k row
until there are 33 sts.
Continue
even in st st until 10” from beg, measured at center of work, end with p row.
Dec row: K 2 tog, 16 times, k 1;
17 sts.
Work
2” even, end with p row.
Inc row: K, inc 1 st in each st
16 times, k 1; 33 sts.
P
1 row, inc 1 st at end of row; 34 sts.
Mark end of row for lower edge of cape.
Rep
inc at lower edge every row 4 times more; 38 sts.
Next row: K, inc 1 st in each 37
sts, k 1; 75 sts.
Rib pattern: From wrong side, p 9, *

** 1st short row: Beg at lower edge of cape, k 9, p 2, turn.
