MATERIALS:
Morell Astrakan [Poodle Cloth], 50 grm Skeins: 10 [10;11]
1 Pair Hero 14” Knitting Needles #10 ½”
1 Crochet Hook #G
1 Hero Steel blunt Darner
GAUGE/TENSION:
3 Sts = 1”
4 Rows = 1”
PATTERN STITCH:
Reverse Stockinette St [st st]: P 1 row, K 1 row.
Rep these 2 rows.
The Purl side is right side of work.
LEFT FRONT:
Start at lower edge, cast on 20[23;26] sts loosely.
Work in reverse st st until piece meas 8”[8 ½”;8 ½”] from beg, or desired length to underarm, end with K row.
SHAPE SLEEVES:
Cast on 8[8;9] sts at beg of next 3 P rows [arm edge].
Work even on 44[47;53] sts until sleeve meas 8”[8 ¼”;8 ½”] from last cast-on sts, end with K row.
NEXT ROW: P to within 10 sts of end of row [neck edge], sl rem 10 sts on holder to be worked later for Collar, then sl 34[37;43] sts of front to spare needle.
RIGHT FRONT:
Work in same way as Left Front, reverse shaping & end with K row at neck edge after collar sts have been taken off; cast on 10[10;12] sts for back of neck, then join 2 fronts by working
across 34 [37;43] sts of Left Front.
BACK:
Work even on 78[84;98] sts until back meas same as front from back of neck to sleeve edge.
SHAPE SLEEVES:
Bind off 8[8;9] sts at beg of next 6 rows [3 times each side].
Work even on rem 30[36;44] sts until same length as front. Bind off loosely.
COLLAR:
Sl 10 collar sts from each front to 10 ½” needles.
Use 2 balls of Astrakan, work both pieces at same time for 4”[4”;4 ¼”]. Bind off loosely.
FINISHING:
When joining pieces, unravel length of yarn & weave edges tog, then sides to back of neck, ease in to fit.
Join underarm seams & 5 ½” of sleeve edges [meas from underarm] on WS; rem piece is joined on RS for cuff turn-back.
With #G crochet hk & RS facing, work 2 rows of SC around cuffs, front edges, collar & bottom of shortie.
