Cropped Jacket #1332
Cropped jacket, knitted in charming leaf design,
with embroidered flowers on yoke. Effective in palest lilac, powder-blue,
or primrose. The raised stitch forming a leaf pattern gives added
warmth to this lovely jacket. Lazy daisies in embroidery decorate yoke.

RIGHT FRONT:
Cast on A 54 (B 62) sts.
Work in patt, as for back up to armhole
shapings.
Cast off A 6 (B 8) sts.
Dec once at armhole edge in next &
every alt row 6 times.
Work 28 rows in patt.
NECK SHAPING:
Cast off A 12 (B 12) sts.
Dec once at neck edge in every row A 8
(B 8) times.
Work 5 rows in patt. Cast off.
LEFT FRONT:
Cast on A 54 (B 62) sts.
Work exactly as for right front, with
shaping at opp end of needles.
SLEEVES:
Cast on A 78 (B 82) sts.
Work 42 rows in patt.
Cast off A 6 (B 8) sts at beg of each of
next 2 rows, then dec once at each end of needle in next & every alt
rows 6 times.
Dec 1 st at beg of every row 42 times.
Cast off.
Work another sleeve in
same manner.
NECK EDGING:
Sew shoulder seams tog.
Sew shoulder seams tog.
Use #12 needles, K up A 96 (B 104) sts
evenly around neck edge.
Work 5 rows in k 2, p 2 rib. Cast
off.
NECK & SLEEVE TRIMMINGS:
Use #12 needles, cast on 6 sts.
Work in st st for A 30” (B 32”). Cast
off.
Work another 2 strips in
same manner.
BUTTONS:
With crochet hk make 3 CH, & sl st to
1st CH to form into ring.
Work 2 rnds, put 3 DC into each st. (12 DC).
Work 3 rnds of 1 DC into every st, stuff
with cotton-wool, then work rnd of DC, sk every 3rd st, cut wool, & leave approx 12”
hanging, & sew across button cover at back to close it.
FINISHING:
Do not press.
Sew up side seams.
Sew up sleeve seams & sew sleeves
into place, gathering them in at shoulder
seams.

Sew In place.
Sew button to left front neck &
crochet button hole lp on right front to corres.
Embroider each front as shown in photo.
Sew shoulder-pads in position.
