Quick & easy to crochet this charming Fascinator with
the stylish lines of its design…a sophisticated, season-spanning wardrobe
favorite…perfect for many occasions!
MATERIALS:
Hiawatha
Super Wired Chenille #36, 3 skeins
#0
Steel or #3 Bone Crochet Hook
Net,
Lace or Dotted-Swiss for Veil, if desired

CH = Chain
DC = Double Crochet
DEC = Decrease

BACK
RING [MAKE 3]: Ch 15, join with sl st
into ring, be careful not to twist.
1ST
RND: 32 Sc in ring. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
2ND
RND: Ch 3, * 2 dc in next sc, dc in next
st. Rep from * around [48 sts]. Join & fasten off.
POUF: Ch 4, join with sl st into ring.
1ST
RND: 8 Sc in ring. Do not join.
2ND
RND: Thru back lps only, work 2 sc in
each st around [8 incs].
3RD
RND: Thru back lps only, work * sc in
next st, 2 sc in next st. Rep from *
around.
Thru
back lps only, work sc, inc 8 sts on each rnd until disk meas 4 ½”
diameter. Fasten off.
Attach
chenille to front lp of 1st sc at center of disk & work as
follows: Sc in same place where chenille
was attached, * draw up lp on hk to meas 2”, thread over & draw thru lp on
hk, work sc bet single & double strands of st. Rep from * once more, sc in front lp of next
sc on disk -- knot st made.
Work 2” knot st in front lp of each sc on
disk until all 3 skeins have been worked up.
Join & fasten off.
FINISHING:
Using
Pouf as 4th ring, & overlapping rings slightly, sew all pieces
tog to shape desired.
NOTE:
To
make this ‘Fascinator’ extra special, add a veil of net, lace or dotted-swiss
in a matching color.
