Vintage 1945 Pansy Choker & Earring Set #462

Quick & easy to crochet this charming flower set of choker & earrings with the stylish lines of its design…a sophisticated, season-spanning wardrobe favorite…perfect to wear & gift for many occasions!

MATERIALS: 
Odds & ends of Hiawatha Super Wired Chenille #36
#0 Steel or #3 Bone Crochet Hook
1 yd Velvet Ribbon ¼” wide
1 Pair Earring Bases

STITCHES:
CH              =       Chain
DC              =       Double Crochet\
HK              =       Hook
REP           =       Repeat
SC              =       Single Crochet\
SL ST         =       Slip Stitch

FLOWER [MAKE 7]:
Start at center, ch 3.  Join with sl st into ring.

1ST RND:  Sc in rind, * ch 3, dc in ring, ch 3, sc in ring -- petal made.  Rep from * until there are 5 petals.  Fasten off.

Make center as follows:  With contrast color, ch 3, work sc in 3rd ch from hk, [ch 1, sc in same place] twice.  Fasten off. 

Sew center in place on each flower.

FINISHING: 
Sew 1 flower on each earring base.

Sew 5 flowers on velvet ribbons as shown in picture.
