* to * 14 more times, sl st in 3rd ch [16 sp].
3RD
RND: Sl st in sp, ch 2, dc in same sp,
ch 2, * yo, insert hook in next sp, draw thread thru, yo, draw thread thru 2
loops, thread over, insert hook in same sp, draw thread thru, yo, draw thread

ROW: Ch 3, dc in each st to end of row
[40 dc].
Either
Back Piece or Small Front Piece may be used.
In
joining Back Piece, catch into every 4th st of last rnd of hat &
in top of each shell st of last row of Back Piece, having joining of hat in
center.
Small
Front Piece is joined by overcastting straight edge of Front Piece & edge
of hat tog.
Cut
a piece of cotton batting 6”x20”, roll & cover with matching material.
Finished
roll should meas 3 ½” x 20”.
Place
roll inside hat.
Inside
Band 1” x 15 ½”.
Sew
Band to hat with small overcast stitch.
