A little scrap of chic in crochet…a fetching snood that you can wear day or night. Takes positively no time to make, costs a mere song, & anyone can make it by following the simple directions. Make a few to match different outfits…or gift, if you can spare!
MATERIALS:
1 ball #4 Knitting Cotton
#10 Aluminum Crochet Hook
1 ball #4 Knitting Cotton
#10 Aluminum Crochet Hook
SNOOD:
Commence with 57 ch.
Commence with 57 ch.
Make 1 dc in 9th ch from hk * 6 ch, 1 dc into 3rd
ch. Rep from * to end. Turn with 6 ch.
Make 1 dc in middle of 6 ch of prev row, * 6 ch, 1 dc in
middle of next 6 ch of prev row. Rep
from * to end. This row is rep
throughout.
Cont until 31 rows have been completed.
Now work 6 ch, 1 dc in middle of 6 ch of prev row, * 3 ch,
1 dc in middle of next 6 ch. Rep from *
to end.
Cont on around side by working 1 dc into each dc. Fasten off.
Join cotton at opposite end, & work to match end
completed. Do not break off cotton.
Make 4 ch, * 1 trc in 1st sp, 1 ch. Rep from * all around edge.
Thread tape, crocheted chain, or ribbon thru edge just
completed.
BOW:
Commence with 38 ch.
Commence with 38 ch.
1 Dc in 10th ch from hk, * 6 ch, sk 3 ch, 1 dc
in 4th ch. Rep from * to
end. Turn with 6 ch.
Make 1 dc in middle of 6 ch of prev row, * 6 ch, 1 dc in
middle next 6 ch. Rep from * to end.
Rep last row until bow is length required, about 50 rows.
LAST ROW: Turn with
6 ch, 1 dc in middle of 6 ch of prev row, * 4 ch, 1 dc in middle of next 6
ch. Rep from * to end.
Sew bow in position as shown in photo. Do not
knot.
