Ribbon
or Elastic
POPCORN
STITCH:
5
Trc into 1 st, take lp off hk, insert hk into 1st group of 5 trc,
pull lp thru back of 5 trc & thru 1 trc of group of 5.
SNOOD:
Ch
20”.
1ST
ROW: Sc into 8th st on ch, *
ch 5, sk 4 ch sc into next st. Rep from
* across row.
2ND
ROW: Ch 6 to turn, sc into 1st
sp, ch 5 sc into next sp, ch 5, sc into next sp, & ch 5, work popcorn in
next st as follows, 5 trc in 1 st, take lp off hk, insert hk into 1st
group of 5 trc, pull lp thru back of 5 trc & thru 1st of 5 trc,
rep from * across row ending ch 5, sc in each of last 3 sp on row.
3RD
ROW: Ch 6 to turn, sc into 1st
sp * ch 5, sc into next sp, rep from * across row [be sure to only go into sp
& not connect to popcorns].
Keep
rep 1st & 2nd rows alternately for 20 rows. [10 rows of popcorns & 10 rows plain.].
Rep
3rd row for 13 rows.
FINISHING:
Work
3 rows of sc around entire snood, taking it in to fit head.
Either
pull ribbon & tie bow at top or work 1 row of sc over tubular elastic.
