Vintage 1970s Mod Via Veneto Tunic Mini Dress #1321
SIZE:
Small & Medium with 35 ½” length from back of neck to point.
Directions are for size Small with changes for Medium in brackets.
To lengthen or shorten, adjust before shoulder.
MATERIALS:
Columbia-Minerva Nantuk, 2 oz Skein: 3 Each of Turquoise [A] & Celery [B]
Columbia-Minerva Nantuk Dimension, 1 oz Skein: 5 Each of Turquoise [C] & Citron [D]
1 Pair Big Boye Knitting Needles #35 1/5
1 Crochet Hook Size K
GAUGE/TENSION:
Small: 1 patt = 6”
Medium: 1 patt = 6 ½”
BACK:
With 2 A & 2 C held tog, cast on 31 [37] sts.
P 1 row.
Work in patt as follows:
1ST ROW [RS]: K2 tog, * K3 [4], K1 UNDER strands before next st, K1, K1 UNDER strands before next st, K3 [4], sl 1, K2 tog, psso, rep from * across, end last rep sl 1, K1, psso.
2ND ROW: P.
Rep last 2 rows twice more. Fasten off A & C.
Attach 2 B & 2 D & work 6 rows of patt.
Rep last 12 rows 3 times more.
Rep 1st 6 rows once more.
Length from start is approx 33 ½”.
NECK & SHOULDERS:
With B & D, work in ST ST, bind off 5 [6] sts at beg of next 2 rows & 4 [5] sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Bind off 13 [15] sts.
FRONT:
Work same as back.
FINISHING:
Sew shoulder seams.
Sew underarm seams & leave approx 6 ½” [7”] open for armholes.
Turn in 1 st at armhole edges for facing.
BELT:
With crochet hk, B & D, CH approx 52”. Fasten off.
