1950s Vogue Moss Tweed Double-Breasted Jacket #303
This
Town & Country double-breasted jacket acts like a coat. It is knitted to look like a knobby, flecked
tweed…but not too bulky. It works well
on its own as a topper, but paired with a skirt would make a delightful suit.
Instructions:
For
a 32” bust.
Changes
for 34”, 36” & 38” sizes are given in brackets.

To Make Up:
Sew
shoulder seams.
Set
in sleeves.
Sew
side & sleeve seams.
Turn
up & slip-stitch hems.
Sew
down pocket linings.
Buttonhole-stitch
round buttonholes.
Sew
collar to neck, pin from centre-back towards fronts, ease back slightly.
Work
1 row of firm dc in A round cuffs, pocket tops, fronts, lapels &
collar.
Press
lightly.
Sew
on buttons.
Stitch
a piece of ribbon along turning lines of cuffs & along back of neck, cutting
ribbon slightly shorter to prevent stretching.
