Elegance in a smart
double-breasted jacket that’s very simple to knit & a pleasure to wear in town or country.

Work
until collar measures 4 ½”. Cast off
loosely.
Work
another piece in same way.
FINISHING:
Sew
shoulder seams.
Set
in sleeves.
Sew
side & sleeve seams.
Place
collar pieces wrong sides together, tack around edges.
Tack
facings to fronts in same way.
Sew
collar to neck to within 2 ½” of center-front edges.
Work
1 row of firm dc around front & collar edges, work through double
thickness.
Remove
tacking threads.
Buttonhole
stitch around double thickness of buttonholes.
Press.
Sew
on buttons.
