Vintage 1946 Olga’s Triple
Bracelet Bag #531
Quick
& easy to crochet this modern, Bracelet bag…three, two, or one with handle
highlight…smart & stylish lines…season-spanning, wardrobe favorite…perfect
for many occasions!
MATERIALS:

tubes Hiawatha Super Glo Plastic Corde, Art #56,
OR

yd Lining Material
Hiawatha
Lucite Ring #6294 [or another bracelet of your choice]

Button Molds ¼” wide
LARGEST
BAG:
Make
8” chain.
1ST
ROW: 4 Dc in 4th ch from
hook, * sk 3 ch, in next ch work sc, ch 2 & 4 dc. Rep from * until row is approx 6 ½”, end with
sc. Cut off rem ch. Ch 3, turn.
2ND
ROW: 4 Dc in sc, * in next ch-2 sp work
sc, ch 2 & 4 dc. Rep from *, end
with sc in top of turning ch. Ch 3,
turn.
Rep
2nd row until piece is 10” long.
Fasten off.
CENTER
BAG:
Same
as Large Bag for 5 ½” x 9”.
SMALL
BAG:
Same
as Large Bag for 4 ½” x 8”.
FINISHING:
Using
crocheted pieces as patt, cut double linings ½“ larger all around than each
piece.
Make
½” allowance for each seam.
Turn
right side out.
Make
buttonhole in center of one short end of each lining [approx ½” from edge].
Sew
each lining to matching crocheted piece.
Fold
each bag into envelope shape as shown [buttonhole on flap] & sew.
Cover
button molds with sc & sew in place.
Spreading
sts of crocheted piece to make buttonhole, sew to buttonhole in lining.
STRAPS:
Ch
12.
Work
patt even for 5”. Fasten off.
Make
2nd strap 2” longer.
Attach
small & large bags to ends of longer strap, & center bag to end of
small strap.
Draw
long strap thru lucite ring & sew, catching in free end of other strap as
shown in photo.
Note: Cardboard
or lightweight plastic may be inserted between 2 layers of lining & bag to
give shape extra support.
