Vintage Georgette Elegant Fascinator Hat #473


Quick & easy to crochet this charming Fascinator…stylish lines of design & pattern…sophisticated & smart, season-spanning, wardrobe favorite…perfect for any occasion!

MATERIALS: 
Peter Pan Cordet, 2 tubes
#3 Bone Crochet Hook
[Interchangeable with 2 strands of Petit Guimpe, Soutache, Ribbon Braid, or Double Strands of Straw]
Ornament
Feather
Net Veil [If desired]

BASE: 
Ch 3, join with sl st to form ring.

1ST RND:  6 Sc in ring

2ND RND:  2 Sc in every st.  

Cont to inc 6 sts on every row, keep work flat until piece meas 5 ½” across. 

Work even 1 ½”.  End off.

TOP: 
Ch 3.  Join with sl st.

1ST RND:  6 sc in ring.

2ND RND:  2 Sc in every st. 

Cont to inc 6 sts on every row, keep work flat, until piece meas 7” across. 

Dec 1 st every 10th st for 2”.  End off. 

FINISHING: 
Sew top to base as shown in photo.

Sew on ornament & feather

NOTE: 
To make this ‘Fascinator’ extra special, add a veil of net, lace or dotted-swiss in a matching color.
