3-75 yd spools; or Cordet, 2 spools

5, join. 6 Sc in ring.
1ST
ROW: Work 2 sc in each sc around row.
2ND
ROW: * Work 1 sc in first st, 2 sc in
next st * . Rep bet * around row.
3RD
ROW: * Work 1 sc in each of next 2 sts,
2 sc in next st *. Rep bet * around row.
4TH
ROW: * Work 1 sc in each of next 3 sts,
2 sc in next st *. Rep bet * around row.
Cont
to inc in this manner until hat meas 8” across, then dec as you have inc, at
even intervals for 1” [approx 90 sts around].
1ST
ROW: Work 1 sc in each of next 35 sts,
sl st in each of next 8 sts, work 1 sc in each of next 14 sts, 3 sc in next st,
1 sl st in each of next 8 sts, 1 sc in each of next 14 sts.
2ND
ROW: Work 1 sc in each st around row, st
for st.
3RD
ROW: Work same as 2nd row
with exception that you will inc in center front, & cont to sl st same as
prev row.
Rep
2nd & 3rd rows for 1 ½”, break yarn.
TASSEL:
Wind
yarn over cardboard 3” wide, cut at bottom & tie ½” from top.
Sew
tassel to hat at side as shown in photo.
