Daisies Crochet Runner
A
clever woman very quickly & easily will crochet this exquisite table runner…which
will become a personal favorite to keep or gift to that special person!
MATERIALS:
J
& P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 2 balls of White or Ecru, or 3 balls of any
color.

Steel Crochet Hook
Each
motif measures approx 3” in diameter.
MEASUREMENTS:
Runner
meas 18” x 39”
Motif
meas 3” in diameter.
FIRST
MOTIF:
Start
at center, ch 2.
1ST
RND: 8 Sc in 2nd ch from hk. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
2ND
RND: Ch 5, * dc in next sc, ch 2. Rep from * around, join last ch-2 with sl st
in 3rd st of starting ch (8 sps).
3RD
RND: Sl st in 1st sp, ch 5, hold back
last lp of each dtr on hk make 4 dtr in same sp, yo hk & draw thru all lps
on hk (cluster made), * ch 10, hold back last lp of each dtr on hk made dtr in
next sp, yo & draw thru all lps on hk (cluster made). Rep from * around, join last ch-10 with sl st
in top of 1st cluster. Break off.
SECOND
MOTIF:
Work
1st & 2nd rnds same as First Motif.
3RD
RND: Sl st in 1st sp, ch 5 &
complete cluster in same sp, ch 5, sc in ch-10 lp in prev motif, ch 5, cluster
in next sp on this motif, ch 5, sc in next ch-10 lp on prev motif, ch 5,
cluster in next sp in this motif.
Complete rnd with no more joinings.
Break off.
Make
6 x 13 motifs, joining them as Second Motif was joined to First.
FILL-IN
LACE:
Ch
2.
1ST
RND: 8 Sc in 2nd ch from hk. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
2ND
RND: Ch 5, sc in any free lp bet motifs,
* ch 5, sl st in next sc on Fill-in-lace, ch 5, sc in next free lp bet
motifs. Rep from * around. Break off.
Fill
in all sps bet motifs in this way.
EDGING:
Attach
thread in any ch-10 lp on outer edge of runner.
In
each ch-10 lp make 3 sc, ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hk (p made), 3 sc, (ch 3, sc
in 3rd ch from hk) 3 times (triple p made); 3 sc, p & 3 sc. In each ch-5 lp make 3 sc, p & 3 sc. Join & break off.
Pin
out to meas given, brush lightly with starch & press.
