It is made of Bucilla Chenille & has a peak top that is all the rage
now.

HAT:
Ch 3, join with sl st.
Ch 3, join with sl st.
Work
6 sc in ring, * 1 sc in each of 3 sts, 2 sc in next st [an inc]; rep from *,
thus inc in every 4th st, until there are 50 sts in rnd.
Then
inc in every 20th st until there are 95 sts around.
Work
even for 3 rnds, or until hat meas 6” from center to edge.
1ST
SHORT ROW: Turn & work 1 sc in
each st to within 5 sts of end of rnd [90 sts].
2ND
SHORT ROW: Turn, work 1 sc in each st to
within 2 sts of end of last short row.
Rep
last row 11 times [66 sts in last short row.
FINAL
RND: Turn, work 1 sc in each st of last
short row, then 1 sc in each of 2 sts left at end of row, 1 sc in each of 5 sts
left in last full rnd, 1 sc in each of 2 sts left in each row at other side;
join with sl st & fasten off.
Try
hat on, roll 2 points of brim to suit.
Pinch
pleat over right eye & tack as shown in photo.
Trim
with feather ornament.
Darn
in all ends on wrong side.
