ZigZag Sweater Dress #197
Elegant short-sleeve
sweater dress with a jewel neckline, created in a navy & white zigzag knit,
is easily & quickly done. The
slightly flaring skirt is in solid navy.
A successful addition to your multi-season wardrobe.

next row work 1 st more in blue.
Rep
this row until there are 20 sts in blue beyond marker. Then work 1 st more in white until all sts
one side of marker are in white & all sts on other side are in blue.
Entire
front is worked in this manner.
When
changing colors, twist yarns.
BACK:
With
white, cast on 90 [96-104] sts.

dec rnd: Dec 1 st in center of
every k stripe.

even until 18” from lower edge, or to within 8 ½” of desired blocked length,

dec rnd: Hipline --Dec as
before.

even for 2 ½” on 275 [ 286, 297 ] sts.

dec rnd: For
sizes 14 & 16: Work dec rnd as
before.
For size 18, * Work dec on 2 k stripes, omit dec on next k
stripe, rep from * to end.

even for 2 ½” on 250 [ 260, 279 ] sts.
Last
dec rnd: K all k sts, p 2 tog
twice in each p stripe 200 [ 208, 225 ] sts.

even until 25” from lower edge or until desired length. Bind off.
FINISHING:

row sc around lower edge, keeping edge even.
