GAUGE:

sts = 1 inch
BLOUSE:
Starting
at neck edge, with #3 circular needle, cast on 106 sts.
Work
even in stockinette st for 1 ½ in.
On
right side of
garment start 1st buttonhole as follows: k 3, bind off, k 19 [right front], increase
in next 2 sts [seam sts], k 2, p 2, for 6 sts, [sleeve], increase in next 2
sts, [seam sts], k 36 [back], increase in next 2 sts [seam sts], k 2, p 2, for
6
sts [sleeve]. Increase in next 2 sts [seam sts], k 25 [left front].
2nd
row and every other row: P.
3rd
row: K 3, cast on 3 over the 3 bound off sts,
k 20, increase in next 2 sts, p 1, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 1, increase in next 2
sts, k 38, increase in next 2 sts, p 1,
k 2, p 2, k 2, p 1, increase in next 2 sts, k 26.
Continue
increasing in
the above manner, having 1 more st to each front, 2 more to the back, and 2 to
each sleeve, keeping rib patt in sleeve, and making buttonholes on right side
of front about every 1 ½ in to waist.
When
raglan sleeve measures
9 in, discontinue the rib patt in sleeve, and working in stockinette st
continue increases in seams until raglan seams measures 10 ½ in.
Work
across right front to seam.
Change
to #3 straight needles, and k across sleeve leaving remaining sts on circular
needle.
Work
back and forth in stockinet st until sleeve measures 1 ½ in less than desired
length.
Change
to #2 needles, decreasing
to 58 sts k 2, p 2, for 1 ½ in. Bind
off.
Attach
yarn and k across back on circular needle to next sleeve seam.
Work
second sleeve to correspond to 1st.
Attach
yarn and
k across left front.
P
back,
joining garment at underarm seams.
Work
back and forth in stockinet st to desired length at underarm. Bind off.
With
#3 crochet hook work
2 rows of sc in contrasting color across front edges and neck of blouse.
Sew
sleeve seams.
SKIRT:
On
#3 circular needles cast
on 380 sts.
Work
as follows: k 107, * p 3, k 17, p
3, k 17, p 3, k 17, p 3, k 17, p 3, k 107, repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat
above until
skirt measures 8 in.
Decrease
5 sts at even intervals over the 107 sts at each side of skirt, and repeat
decreases every 2 in 7 times, then every inch until skirt measures 30 in and
there are 220 sts on needle.
Work
1 in even or
desired length. Bind off.
Work
2 rows of sc around bottom of skirt, st for st.
Work
beading at
bottom of blouse and top of skirt for elastic.
Join
with elastic.
1
inch allowed for blocking.
