“Jubilee” -- lots of
charm & femininity -- this two-piece dress crocheted of featherweight
Knit-Cro-Sheen cotton. Contrasting lacy
patterns, used to give your figure the utmost flattery. Chic neckline, necklace high.

GAUGE:
10 dc = 1”; 4 rows = 1”
BLOUSE: Back:
Start at waistband, ch 31 [ to meas about 3 ¼” ].

1st row:
Sc
in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.
Hereafter
pick up only the back loop of each sc.
2nd row:
Sc
in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Rep 2nd row until piece meas 13”. Do not break off, but ch 3; then work along
long side as follows:
1st row:
Dc
in each of 1 st 5 rows, * ch 3, sk 2 rows, dc in each of next 12 rows. Rep from * across, end row with ch 3, sk 2
rows, dc in each of last 6 rows. Ch 3,
turn.
2nd row:
Sk
1st dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, * ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch
2, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 2, dc in 1st dc of next dc group, ch 2, sk 2
dc, dc in each of next 6 dc. Rep from *
across, end row with sk 2 dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
3rd row:
Sk
1st dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in next dc, * ch 3,
dc in next dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in each of next 6 dc, 2 dc in sp, dc in dc. Rep from * across, end row with 6 dc. Ch 3, turn.
These last 2 rows constitute the patt.
Rep
these 2 rows alternately, inc 1 dc at end of each row until 6 dc are inc at
both sides [ to inc, make 2 dc in 1 dc ].
Then inc 1 sp at end of each of next 2 rows [ to inc a
sp, ch 3, dc in same place as last dc ].
Hereafter
cont as before, inc 1 dc at end of each row until 7 more dc are inc at both
sides.
Work
straight until piece meas 10” in all.
To shape armholes:
Work
to within 7 dc from end, turn [ 7 dc dec ].
Rep
last row once more.
Then
dec 1 sp at end of each of next 2 rows [ to dec 1 sp, work dc in last dc, work
off 2 loops only; sk ch 3; dc in next dc & work off as for a dc until 1
loop rem ].
Now dec 1 dc at both ends of each row 4 times [ to dec
1 dc, work off 2 dc as 1 dc ].
Work
straight until piece meas 3” from 1st row of armhole shaping. Ch 5, turn.
YOKE:
1ST row:
Sk
2 dc, sc in next dc, * ch 2, sk 2 sts, dc in next st, ch 2, sk 2 sts, sc in
next st. rep from * across [ 25 lacets
]. Ch 5, turn.
2nd row:
*
Sk ch 2; sc, ch 2 [ lacet ], sc in next dc; ch 4. Rep from * across, end row with sc in 3rd
ch of turning ch 5. Ch 5, turn.
3rd row:
*
Sc in ch 4, ch 2, dc in next sc, ch 2,
Rep from * across, end row with dc in 1st ch of turning ch
5. Ch 5, turn.
These
last 2 rows constitute yoke patt.
Work
in patt until piece meas 7” from 1st row of armhole shaping.
To shape shoulders, Work to within the last lacet of each
row, turn [ thus dec 1 lacet ], until 2 lacets are dec at both ends.
On
next row, work across 1st 7 lacets, turn.
Hereafter
work in patt over these 7 lacets only, dec 1 lacet at end of each row until 1
lacet rem. Break off.
Skip
7 lacets at neck edge and work over rem 7 lacets to correspond with opposite
side.
Neck Band: Attach thread at
shoulder edge & work a row of sc closely tog all around neck edge.
Then
make sc in sc, dec where necessary to keep work flat.
Cont
in this manner until band meas ¾” Break
off.
Front: Starting at waistband,
ch 31 & work as for waistband of Back until piece measures 14”.
Work
in patt along long side, inc 2 dc at both ends of every other row 3 times, &
then inc 1 sp at both ends of following row.
Then
inc 2 dc at both ends of every other row 6 times.
Work
straight until piece meas 10” in all.
To shape armholes:
Work
in patt across 1st 6 dc groups, make 2 lacets [ thus starting yoke
patt ]. Cont in patt as before to within
last 12 dc, turn [ thus dec 12 dc ].
On
next row work in patt across to within last 12 dc, turn.
Hereafter, make a lacet on both sides of lacet of prev row
on every other row, dec as follows: Dec 1 sp at end of each of next 2 rows.
Now
dec 1 dc at both ends of each row 4 times.
Work
straight, cont to inc 2 lacets on every other row, until lacet patts meas 6 ½”
across.
Then
work straight until piece meas 4 ½” from 1st row of armhole shaping.
On next row work in patt across to within 1 lacet from center of
yoke, turn [ thus start neck shaping ].
Work
in patt, back & forth, dec 1 lacet every other row at neck edge,
twice.
Hereafter change entire row to lacet patt, cont with decs
at neck edge until 5 lacets in all are dec.
Work
straight until piece meas 7” from 1 st row of armhole shaping.
To shape shoulder, dec 2 lacets at armhole edge each row
until 2 lacets rem. Break off.
Sk
2 lacets at center of neck edge, attach thread to next dc & work opposite
side to correspond.
Neck Band: Work as for Neck Band
of Back.
Sleeves: Start at bottom, ch 9
& work as for waistband until piece meas 10”. Do not break off, but ch 5 & work along
long side as follows:
1st row:

Sk 2 rows, sc in next row, ch 2, sk 2 rows, dc in next row, ch 2. Rep from * across [ 20 lacets]. Ch 5, turn.
2nd row:
*
Sk 1 lacet, sc in next dc, ch 4. Rep
from * across, end row with sc in 3rd
st of turning ch 5. Ch 5, turn.
3rd row:
*
Sc in ch 4, ch 2, dc in next sc, ch 2.
Rep from * across, end row with dc in 1st ch of turning ch
5. Ch 5, turn.
Rep
the last 2 rows alternately, inc 1 lacet at both ends of one row every in,
twice [ 24 lacets].
Work
straight until piece meas 4 ½” in all.
To shape top of sleeve, dec 1 lacet at both ends of next row
& every 3rd row thereafter until 4 lacets rem. Break off.
Sew
up underarm seams, leaving waistbands free at both sides.
Sew
up shoulder seams, leaving 2” free on both sides at neck edge.
Sew
up sleeve seams & sew sleeves in.
Work
a row of sc along both openings at neck edge, making 2 ch-8 loops on both sides
of Front.
Finish
waistband in same way but making 3, instead of 2, ch-8 loops.
Sew
on buttons to correspond with button loops.
SKIRT:
Back: Start at bottom, ch 226
[ to meas about 23” ].
1st row: Dc in 4th ch
from hook, dc in each of next 4 ch, * ch 3, sk 2 ch, dc in each of next 12
ch. Rep from * across, end row with ch
3, sk 2 ch, dc in each of 6 ch. Ch 3,
turn.
2nd row:
Sk
1st dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, * ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch
2, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 2, dc in 1st dc of next dc group, ch 2, sk 2
dc, dc in each of next 6 dc. Rep from 8
across, end row with sk 2 dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
3rd row:
