necklace with earrings…a beautiful favorite to keep or gift to that special

SKIRT:
Start
at waist with green, make ch 32” long [6 ch = 1”].
1ST
ROW: Dc in 4th ch from hk
& in each ch across. Ch 3, turn.
2ND
ROW: Sk first dc, dc in each dc across
& in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.
3RD
ROW: [Yo, insert hk in first dc &
draw thru lp, pull lp out on hk to meas
¾”]
3 times; yo & draw thru all lps on hk [loose putt st made]; * ch 1, sk 1
dc, make loose putt st in next dc. Rep
from * across. Ch 3, turn.
4TH
ROW: Sk first st, dc in each st
across. Ch 3, turn.
Rep
2nd, 3rd & 4th rows 3 more times. Break off.
BODICE:
1ST
ROW: Attach black to starting ch at top
of skirt & * hold back on hk last lp of each sc, make sc in next 5 sts, yo
& draw thru all lps on hk [4 sc dec].
Rep from * across. Ch 1, turn.
2ND
ROW: * Dec 1 sc [to dec, work off 2 sc
as 1 sc]. Rep from * across. Ch 1, turn.
3RD
THRU 7TH ROWS: Sc in each sc
across. Ch 1, turn. Break off at end of 7th row.
8TH
THRU 17TH ROWS: Attach
fuchsia, sc in each sc, inc 3 sc evenly across on 14th & 15th
rows only [to inc 1 sc, make 2 sc in 1 sc].
Ch 1, turn. Break off at end of
17th row.
SLEEVE: [MAKE 2]:
Start
at center with fuchsia, ch 17. Join with
sl st to form ring.
1ST
RND: Sc in each ch around. Join.
2ND
RND: Sc in first sc, pull lp out on hk
to meas ¾”, [insert hk in same place as last sc & draw lp thru, yo &
draw thru 1 lp, pull this lp up to meas same as last lp] 4 times [5 lp sts
made]; make 5 lps sts in each sc around.
Join & break off.
3RD
RND: Attach one strand each of black
& gold to first lp st, sc in same lp, * ch 1, sc in next lp st. Rep from * around. Join & break off.
Attach
fuchsia to opposite side of starting ch & work to correspond with other
side.
Sew
in place on bodice.
TURBAN:
1ST
ROW: With gold make ch 10 ½” long. Dc in 5th ch from hk, * ch 1, sk 1
ch, dc in next ch. Rep from *
across. Ch 1, turn.
2ND
ROW: Sc in first dc, 8 sc in next ch-1
sp, sc in next dc. Rep from * across,
end with sc in last sp & sc in top of turning ch. Ch 4, turn.
3RD
ROW: Sk first 2 sc, * dc in next sc, ch
1. Rep from * across. Ch 1, turn.
4TH
& 5TH ROWS: Rep 2nd
& 3rd rows. Break
off.
Cut
12 strands of fuchsia, each 12” long, & weave thru first row of gold
sps.
Cut
12 strands of black, each 12” long, & weave thru 2nd row.
Cut
12 strands of green, each 12” long, & weave thru last row.
Wind
piece around head of doll to form turban & sew ends securely in place.
Sew
up back of skirt.
Sew
hook & eye to waistband & 2 snap fasteners to bodice ½” apart.
Trim
turban with fruit.
EARRING: [MAKE 2]:
String
15 beads, tie thread to form ring.
Sew
in place on hair.
NECKLACE:
Make
2 strings of beads for around neck.
PANTIES:
With
white & #6 hk, ch 38 loosely to fit around waistline, dc in 4th
st from hk, 1 dc in each rem st of ch, ch 3, turn.
2ND
ROW: 1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in
next dc, * 1 dc in each of next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * across row,
end with 1 dc in last st, join in 3rd st of 1st ch 3.
3RD
& 4TH ROWS: Ch 3 [counts
as 1 dc], 1 dc in each dc, join in 3rd st of ch.
5TH
ROW: Ch 3, 1 dc in each of next 10 dc,
sk 21 dc, 1 dc in each of next 10 dc, join.
6TH
ROW: * Ch 3, sc in next st, rep from *
all around, cut thread.
Attach
thread at crotch & finish other leg in same manner.
Work
row of sc around top of panties, working loosely, then work row of sc around
side opening, cut thread.
Tie
with ribbon on side.
If
desired, make an underskirt of crinoline [net] & taffeta.
