12, 14 & 16.
Directions are for size 12 with changes for sizes 14 & 16 in parentheses.

MATERIALS:
Beehive Scotch Fingering Yarn, 3 Ply, 1 oz Skein:  25 (26, 27) Skeins
1 pair Royal Society Aluminum or Plastic Knitting Needles. #2/2¾ mm
Royal Society Steel Circular Knitting Needle - 29” #2/2¾ mm
Steel Crochet Hook #1
Crown Zippers, 5”, 6” & 7” (SKIRT PLACKET)
2 Buttons
Snap Fasteners

Start at lower edge with knitting needles, cast on 165 (173, 181) sts.

NEXT ROWS: Work in st st (k 1 row, p 1 row), for 7 rows. 

NEXT ROW: K across (HEMLINE).

NOW WORK IN PATT AS FOLLOWS:
1^ST ROW: K into back of each st across.

2^ND ROW: P across.

NEXT ROWS: Rep these 2 rows alt until piece meas 1½” from hemline, end with p row.

1^ST DEC ROW: K 12 (16, 20), k 2 tog, * k 18. k 2 tog. Rep from * 6 more times, k 11 (15. 19).

NEXT ROWS: Now dec on 1 row every 1½“ as follows, always end with p row. 

2^ND DEC ROW: K 11 (15, 19). k 2 tog. * k 2 tog. k 17. Rep from * 6 more times, k 11 (15, 19). 

3^RD DEC ROW: K 11 (15, 19), k 2 tog, * k 16, k 2 tog. Rep from * 6 more times, k 10 (14, 18).

NEXT ROWS: Work without inc until piece meas from hemline 4” (4½”, 5”).

BACK OPENING:
With knitting needles work across 202 (211, 219) sts.

NEXT ROW: Turn & work over these sts only.

NEXT ROW: Cast on 2 sts at beg of next row.

NEXT ROWS: Cont in patt until cuff edge meas 4” (4½”, 4½”), end with p row.

SHAPE SLEEVE:
Bind off 5 sts at beg of next row (CUFF EDGE) & every other row until there rem 69 (71,74) sts, end with p row.

NEXT ROW: Attach yarn to other side, cast on 2 sts at neck opening & work to corres, reverse shaping.

FRONT:
Work as for Back until piece meas from hem­line 15½” (15½”,16”). = on needle 129 (137,145) sts.

SHAPE ARMHOLES:
NEXT ROWS: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows.

NEXT ROWS: Dec 1 st at end of each row until there rem 107 (115, 123) sts.

NEXT ROWS: Work without dec until piece meas 3“ from 1^st row of armhole shaping.

NEXT ROWS: Bind off at beg of next 2 rows 41 (44, 46) sts.

NEXT ROWS: Work over rem 25 (27, 31) sts for 4¼ “. Bind off.

RIGHT SLEEVE & RIGHT FRONT YOKE:
Cast on 128 (132, 136) sts & p across.

NEXT ROWS: Work in patt, inc 1 st at beg of next row & every other row 11 times

AT SAME TIME: 

NEXT ROWS: Inc 1 st at opposite end (CUFF EDGE) every 4th row 9 times. 

When piece meas 3“, end with p row, lay this piece aside.

NEXT ROWS: With sep knitting needles, cast on 44 (47, 49) sts.

NEXT ROWS: Work in st st for 5 rows. 

NEXT ROW: K across (hemline). 

NEXT ROW: Work across. With same needle work across sleeve sts.

SHAPE SLEEVE:
NEXT ROWS: Bind off 5 sts at beg of next row & every other row 27 (28, 29) times.

AT THE SAME TIME:

LEFT SLEEVE & LEFT FRONT YOKE:
Work as for Right Sleeve & Front Yoke, reverse shaping.

FINISHING:
Block to measurements.

Turn hems of yoke & lower edge to wrong side & sew in place.

Sew back yoke to back overlapping hem.

Sew front yokes in place overlapping hems & front edges.

Sew side seams leaving 5“ free at left side, 5“ from hem.

Sew sleeve & shoulder seams.

Turn narrow hems to wrong side & sew in place at zipper openings.

Turn narrow hem to wrong side at cuffs & sew in place.

Make row of sc around neck opening, turn & sl st in each sc around. Break off.

Sew on buttons at front panel.

Sew in zippers.

SKIRT:
BACK:
Start at lower edge with knitting pins, cast on 196 (202, 208) sts.

NEXT ROWS: Work in st st for 7 rows. 

NEXT ROW: K across (HEMLINE)

FRONT:
Work exactly as for Back.

FINISHING:
Block to measurements.

Sew side seams, leaving 7“ free at top of left side for zipper.

Turn hem to wrong side & sew in place.

Turn narrow hems to wrong side at zipper opening & sew in place.

Sew ribbon on wrong side to waist.

Sew in zipper.

Sew on snap fasteners at waist.
