LATEST DOG RESCUE UPDATES:

A Lovely "After" Photo of Hope

Here is an update on Hope, one of the dogs that is being helped with sales of our patterns.

Hope was rescued from a High-Kill Shelter just before she was due to be euthanized.  She had been starved, tortured, abused & overbred.    Thankfully she was saved in time by the Fighting for Dawn Rescue.

You can read more about Hope at Hope - Fighting for Dawn Rescue

For those of you who have followed my blog, we are back into our home after Hurricane Sandy.  The house sustained a lot of damage, but the walls & roof stayed strong.  Most of our repairs have been made, contractors will be coming in a team on Tuesday to do some painting & finishing work.

We don't have a lot of furniture, & I'm not planning on buying any more until we move.  Yes...there is a "For Sale" sign on my lawn.  This type of storm may not happen again for many years, but I am just too old for all this.  Most of the possessions we saved will be kept stored in boxes for our next move...also too old to keep packing & unpacking all this stuff.  So you can see I remain positive.  The neighborhood looks good again & is back to normal.  Hopefully, come Spring when people start home-shopping the house will be sold.

Are we becoming snow birds & moving south?  No, simply heading west off the island onto the mainland.  At least far enough to avoid any future evacuations, but close enough to come back to the island in a short car ride.

Here is a picture of my 2 boys, during our evacuation phase.  As you can see, they sadly missed their grooming appointment due to the storm.  They're standing guard in the car, while I run into a store for supplies.  [Don't worry, my husband's sitting under that pile of fur...I'd never leave them alone in a car!]

Here's a newer picture of my Caesar, looking quite a bit better.

Here are your free patterns.
ENJOY!
